Hampton Storytelling will hold their free October storytelling program for all ages, as part of their “No Rusty Ears” series encouraging listeners to stay attuned to the art of storytelling in the museum’s Great Hall.The theme of October’s presentation is “Unexpected Heroes.” It’s a collection of stories about the people and experiences that shape our lives. The presenter is Andy Russell, an award-winning storyteller whose stories are filled with history and hard times, simple pleasures and heartfelt emotions. And music.

Hampton Storytelling held its third annual Hampton Storytelling Festival this past July, featuring both nationally and internationally known professional storytellers, as well as newly minted local storytellers. The festival serves as a platform for connection, healing, and community pride, spotlighting the personal and collective narratives that make Hampton unique.
Hampton Storytelling is in partnership with the Hampton History Museum, the Hampton Unity Commission, Virginia Organizing, and Virginia Humanities.
