Auditions for NEXT TO NORMALMusic by Tom Kitt

Please read the following information carefully concerning auditions, rehearsals, and performances (you can also find all the below information on our website https://www.playbyplaytheatre.org/n2n-auditions):
Performers of all ethnicities and gender identities as well as performers with disabilities are encouraged to audition for any role. Open to performers ages 18 and up.
**AUDITIONS**
* When: January 20th & 21st, 2025 from 6-9pm
* Where: Studio 12 (New Location: 2149 Velp Ave, Suite 205, Green Bay).
* What to prepare: A 32-bar cut of your favorite contemporary musical theatre song. There will be an accompanist provided, however you may sing with a recording or a capella if you prefer.
* If interested in a specific role, prepare a provided vocal selection (our accompanist will play for this). You may also be asked to do a cold reading from the show. You can find character vocal selections HERE: https://www.playbyplaytheatre.org/n2n-audition-vocals
* What to bring: Headshot and resume, known conflicts (email or bring to audition)

**REHEARSALS**
* Read thru and informational meeting week of January 27th
* Monday & Wednesday evenings, Saturday afternoons in March & April. Specifics will be given after casting and actors availability.
* Tech week: April 27-May 1
* Performances: May 2-3-4, 9-10
* Stipend will be provided
**ROLES**
* DIANA – A suburban mother. Sharp. Delusional bipolar depressive. Late 30's early 40's. Mezzo Soprano.
* DAN – Diana's husband. Genuine. Constant. Tired. Late 30's early 40's. Bari-Tenor.
* NATALIE – Diana's daughter. 16. Trying to be perfect. It's not going well. Mezzo Soprano.
* GABE – Diana's son who died as a baby. Comes back to her in visions as an 18 year-old teenager. The golden child.
* DR. MADDEN – Diana's psychiatrist. On the young side of ageless. Assured. A rock star. (This actor also plays Dr. Fine – A psychopharmacologist.)
* HENRY – Musician. Stoner. Slacker. Philosopher. Natalie's kind-of boyfriend. 17 years old.
