"It is the friends that Nathan has made within the club, with both current and past players, all counting him as a mate. It is this that we count as the highest honour."Nathan Done, a Collegiate Soccer League player, volunteer, sponsor and coach of many years lost his battle with cancer in 2019.
We hold "Nathan's Game" every year as a pre-season game to commemorate and to remember our Friend.
Nathan played 123 games for the club, scoring 7* goals (Unofficially 1 has been added which was just about to cross the line, but was touched by an unnamed player, much to Nathan’s annoyance!). He received 3 red cards and 12 yellow cards in a sign of Nathan’s passion for the game.
Statistics aside, it is the friends that Nathan has made within the club, with both current and past players, all counting him as a mate. It is this that we count as the highest honour.
Nathan also volunteered as a coach and on the committee for many years and was always willing to lend a hand when given the opportunity, never asking for anything in return.
He organised one of our biggest sponsorships at the time through his family which enabled us to purchase new kits and equipment for all of the players.
Nathan’s sense of humour, wit and demeanour is sadly missed around the club but we will all have many memories to cherish forever.
Stay tuned for more information about the event closer to the date.
