About this Event

Join singer-songwriters E.G. Phillips, Shawn Byron, and George Cothran for some acoustic guitar goodness at Bazaar Cafe in San Francisco to celebrate the release of E.G.'s latest EP "Mental Maps"

E.G. Phillips is a San Francisco based songwriter who creates lyric driven songs with his own special blend of whimsy and cinematic imagery which he uses to give a wry take on dealing with the longings of the heart and the madness of existence. Call it jazz-infused progressive folk if you feel the need to sling around a bunch of genre labels.

Having spent most of his life in Virginia and Southern California, Shawn Byron now works in the Bay Area as an attorney moonlighting as a folk balladeer. It's hard to miss his biggest influences—the singer-songwriters of yore: Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, and Van Morrison. Dig deeper, and you will no doubt hear the likes of Stevie Wonder and Sam Cooke as well.

George Cothran was a member of an acoustic duo called the Rogue Parvenus for the last year struggling to eek out gigs on the coast and in San Francisco during Covid. For the last couple of months he's been re-acquiring his bearings at the Bazaar Café.
