Miriam, her granddaughter, wrote and illustrated a graphic novel telling Elena's eventful life story and how she came to live and work Leigh. The book was named by The Guardian and The Observer as one of their best of 2024 and has been shortlisted for the Wingate Prize. Miriam will be joined by former patient of Dr Zadik's and BBC DJ Shaun Keaveny. Bring your memories of Dr Zadik, and questions for Miriam and Shaun. Miriam will also be signing books.
Miriam with be joined by fellow Leyther born and bred in Leigh, BBC DJ Shaun Keaveny who will be sharing his own memories as a former patient of Miriam's Grandmother Dr Elena Zadik.
