Being familiar with our residents, their needs and the care staff provide is not only important to person-centered care but is crucial to reimbursement. Knowing our residents as a whole person helps to complete the MDS accurately while ensuring the resident gets the care they need. Becoming informed with the resident conditions and services that impact Missouri Medicaid reimbursement enables us to ensure staff document what is needed to support our MDS.
