Bill Faloon
William "Bill" Faloon is an American author, life extensionist, and entrepreneur, born in 1954. His interest in human immortality was ignited at age 8 when his mother told him everyone eventually dies, a concept he refused to accept. This led to an early interest in cryonics after reading about Robert Ettinger at age 13. At 15, he secured a life insurance policy, naming his mother as the beneficiary so she could use the funds for cryopreservation in the event of his death. Faloon pursued a one-year mortuary science program at the Pittsburgh Institute of
Mortuary Science to potentially be able to cryopreserve others himself. He later moved to South Florida around 1974 to help set up the Neptune Society.
In 1980, Faloon co-founded the Life Extension Foundation with Saul Kent, initially called the Biomedical Research and Longevity Society. The foundation focuses on educating people about anti-aging and disease prevention, researching and distributing information on extending healthspan, and funding research globally.
