Join us to celebrate this release album concert. Mariwô (phonetic pronunciation maɾiˈo) is an album comprised mainly of Juan Megna's composition.
Mariwô is the palm-three leave that Ogum, a saint from the Yoruban tradition, uses to dress in the rain forest. It represents the Orixá's protection and a perpetual signal of Ogun's immense power.
The music is mostly inspired by traditional melodies and rhythms from the Afro-Brazilian religion called Candomblé, where different cultures from the African Diaspora are syncretized in their ceremonies.
