About this Event
Don't miss this FREE opportunity open to past and present military community members and family to explore Blowing Rocks Preserve and witness the transformation of this nature sanctuary at nightfall! Enjoy a guided night stroll in the outdoors through the trails and beaches after the preserve closes to the public, while connecting with like-minded individuals.
Prepare to spend the evening hiking approximately 1.15 miles on sandy, uneven terrain.
Packing List:
- reusable water bottle
- outdoor clothing (recommend breathable long sleeves and loose pants)
- sturdy close-toed shoes
- flashlight or headlamp (for parking lot)
- [optional] insect repellent
- [optional] personal smart device (recommend SkyMap app)
*Turtle safe flashlights will be provided by The Nature Conservancy for use during the program.
FREE family-friendly opportunity for ages 8 years old and up!
Advance registration is required.
*All youth under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
