Contemplative Conversations (Rudy Rasmus & Matthew Williams)
- Being fully present for your spouse, children, and family
- The value of African American contemplative practices to emotional health
- The importance of inner healing to social impact
Spiritual Practices (Juanita Rasmus)
- Facilitated prayer and meditation for a deeper connection with God, self, and purpose
- Who's the matter with you? Silencing the inner critic
African American Contemplative Traditions (Matthew Williams)
- Facilitated conversations and spiritual practices that recover the gift of African American contemplative traditions
- The unique value within the narratives of Black men for their spiritual wholeness
Goals for our time together:
- Provide space and tools for spiritual renewal
- Explore the importance of spiritual practices to thriving as leaders and personal well-being
- Practice meditation and it’s value to overall well-being
- Practice various forms of contemplative prayer and meditation
- Experience glimpses of spiritual renewal
Space is limited to the first 35 registrants
REGISTRATION INCLUDES: All meals (Friday – Sunday) and time on the campus of St. John's Downtown
