"Lessons Learned from the Trenches" with VACE Advisory Board

In partnership with the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship, join the University of Kentucky Student-Led Entrepreneurship Club for an exclusive evening with the Von Allmen Center Advisory Board on October 21, 2025, at 5:30 PM.

The event, titled "Lessons from the Trenches," will be held in the Gatton College of Business and Economics building, Woodward Hall, Room 307.

Light hor dourves will be provided. Dress code is business casual for this event.

This is a unique opportunity for students to hear firsthand from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders about their real-world experiences, challenges, and triumphs.

Overview

This event is designed to provide invaluable insights into the entrepreneurial journey. The advisory board members will share their "lessons from the trenches," covering topics such as:

-Navigating Early-Stage Startups: Learn about the common pitfalls and smart strategies for getting a new venture off the ground.

-Overcoming Setbacks: Hear personal stories of resilience and how to pivot when things don't go as planned.

-Building a Strong Team: Discover the importance of culture and talent in building a sustainable business.

-Securing Funding: Gain practical advice on attracting investors and managing capital.

The format will be a moderated panel discussion followed by a Q&A session, giving students a chance to ask specific questions and network with the board members.
