"The fuse has officially been LIT." (Leisure Industry Tournament - how inventive is that for a name!? ️?
In order to help celebrate the lifting of restrictions, and help support the Entertainment and Leisure Industry, we have decided to host a free tournament for them - 32 Venues will enter the tournament and will be represented by customers, NOT staff, and NOT friends of staff - it must be customers that have been found through their social media so that it is fair and open to all. We are NOT hosting a free and private tournament for bar staff and their mates! ??
Each participating Venue must find a team of 6 players to represent them, chosen however they see fit - (short and quick competition for example?) - through their open social media posts, and then pay £20 each towards the prize fund. You only have a week to find them!!
(We're thinking Old Skool Knight's Tournament where a chosen Knight fights for the honour of his Princess kinda thing - players are fighting to boost morale within their favourite Venue and thus can claim bragging rights and Honour over all the other teams!)
The team of 6 can be anyone, it does not need to be people who know each other, and we would like to see how teams are formed through social media as it's a morale boost for everyone coming back together again and all that and should be open, not privately done - like at least just post and tag the chosen players or something!?
The players get to play for free, but the winning team will claim the £640 prize fund for their Venue to be distributed as IT sees fit, NOT the players - we would like to see it going towards the wage bill for the staff but it is up to the Venue. It is to HELP towards RUNNING COSTS and to BOOST MORALE, not for the owners or managers to pocket!! ??

Then simply advertise for players on your social media, throw your £20 in the prize fund, and get everyone ready for the best tournament this city may have ever seen to be fair! ??
Or alternatively, perhaps you are a customer and have a favourite wartering hole that you would like to try and win some money for? In which case simply tag them here or go on their Facebook page to see if they are advertising for players - if not, then message them and tell them they should and tag us! Offer to fight for their Honour!
***Entries must be finalised by Monday the 2nd of August by 13:00.
Players must be demonstrably found through social media and not be staff or friends thereof - "regulars" are of course perfectly fine.
Fixtures will be drawn on Facebook Live on this page on Monday 2nd of August at 18:00.***
In terms of Covid - masks will not be necesssary as we have a massive 10,000 sqft Arena with 30ft high ceiling and a very large roller shutter door, but we will still be insisting on hand sanitising and we will be cleaning the weapons between games.
