LEGENDARY NIGHTSA Celebration of Classic Soul, New Orleans Music, Reggae, Da Blues & More...Hollywood, CA Friday Night, acclaimed vocalist, poet, and cultural organizer Torrnce BRANNON, brings his band Everything with Soul to the legendary Catalina Jazz Club for a special Friday mainstage performance!This appearance marks a rare moment in Catalina history, as Torrnce becomes the first local Los Angeles artist to headline the clubs Friday night stage since his mentor, the late great Barbara Morrison.A native of New Orleans, Torrnce BRANNON-Reese is a modern-day griot whose work blends deep soul, blues, and ancestral storytelling with a lifelong commitment to culture and community. While he performs nationally with Street Corner Renaissance and The Delfonics Experience, Everything with Soul is the ensemble where his full artistic and cultural vision comes alive.The evening will also acknowledge the 30th anniversary of the Cultural Renaissance Classic Photo (1996), a landmark Leimert ParkBLACK ARTS VILLAGE gathering curated by Torrnce that captured a historic generation of Black artists and culture bearers.
