Come to individual days or save when you register to attend all three.As children, many of us experienced pain, neglect, or trauma. This could be in the form of abusive, absent, or preoccupied parent, an overly critical parent or teacher, bullies, difficult life transitions or otherwise not having our basic needs met. Everyone has wounds from their early years or life, both big and small, that impact how we move forward as adults.
Our childhood needs to be loved, accepted, safe and validated. Inner child work provides an opportunity to re-parent ourselves, re-open our hearts to self love and create safety and compassion in our inner worlds. This allows us to integrate our wounds as adults so they no longer rule our lives.
This course will offer creative ways to introduce yourself to your inner child and start your journey towards:
Healing past wounds: Addressing unresolved childhood issues can lead to emotional healing and growth.
Understanding patterns: Exploring the inner child can help identify recurring patterns and behaviors.
Building self-awareness: Connecting with the inner child can increase self-awareness and self-compassion.
Enhancing relationships: Healing the inner child can improve relationships with oneself and others.
Promoting self-care: Inner Child work encourages self-care practices and prioritizing emotional well-being.
Inner Child work is a powerful tool for emotional healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
First session 7/7: Coloring Mandalas: Review benefits of adult coloring and healing benefits of mandalas.
Second session 7/14: Spirituality and Awakening the Inner Child: Review inner child work and multiple modalities and therapies to help with inner child work.
Activity: Learn pertinent yoga postures to tap into your creative centers. Yoga Nidra (Guided Relaxation Meditation) by Mary and group Reiki by Lynn.
Third session 7/21: Awakening the Inner Child with Play: have fun engaging in a variety of ways to integrate play (think hopscotch, paying ball and hulahooping!). Leave with journaling prompts and exercises to take home.
