Edgar Allan Poe, the great American poet and short-story writer, died in Baltimore in 1849. He gave the city the legend of the Poe Toaster, who made midnight visits to his grave here, as well as the name of the town’s football team. Geoffrey Himes & Seth Kibel will pay tribute to Poe with songs and poems about black birds, funeral bells, tell-tale hearts, cemetery visits and more.

An Die Musik is Baltimore’s finest listening room. With comfortable armchairs, great acoustics, the city’s best piano and a lobby bar, this performance space above the venerable record store is as intimate as it is inviting. The street parking meters are free on Sundays; the venue offers discount coupons for the area’s ethnic restaurants, and the early start time allows a good night's sleep before the work week.
