About this Event

It is one wild ride! Sorry but the hostess prefers to not reveal the plot, they feel would be more fun is better if you just show up. [Here is their tag line]: "Feminists are wrong. Women are not equal to Men. They are better!" Cara and Ashley are fantastic in the play. Part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2022, #hff22.

[Cara Schell Sandefur as Susie] Cara Schell Sandefur is an actor, dancer and singer. She was trained in classical ballet for sixteen years, three of those training pre-professionally at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She is currently a student at the LA City College Acting Academy.

[Ashley McQueston as Frannie] I’m a 21 year old from Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated high school a semester early, at seventeen, to move out to California to pursue my dream of becoming an actress. I have been acting since 4th grade and plan on continuing for many years to come. In 2019 I was in a one women show in the Fringe Festival titled ExtraOrdinary. I’m currently attending the theatre program at Los Angeles City college and will be graduating in December. I’m so excited to be apart of the fringe festival again!

{Chambers Stevens Playwright] Chambers Stevens (Actor/Playwright/Director) has a massive Prince Record Collection. He has been clogging since before he can walk and is still as fast as the wind. He and his son, Twain have played in almost 200 different parks in Los Angeles County. He has read every novel Mark Twain ever published. He still gets a tingling feeling every morning when he rolls over and looks at his wife. Oh and this year he has 6 plays opening in the Hollywood Fringe.

Chambers Stevens has ten books in print. Besides being a successful author he is one of LA’s top acting coaches. Actors he has coached have appeared on every network as well as countless films and theatre productions. Chambers is a graduate of The Conservatory of Theater Arts at Webster University & the founder of The Nashville Shakespeare Festival now in its 30th year.

As a television actor, Chambers starred in The Steve Spots, which received six Emmys and a George Peabody Award, Funnybones, which received an Emmy for “Outstanding Children’s Program”, and Geoscout, for which he received a personal Emmy nomination as “Outstanding Actor in a Children’s Series.”

As a theater actor, Chambers has performed in over a hundred theater productions. He’s the recipient of the Geoffrey Award for his portrayal of Drew in Eastern Standard. He also received the prestigious Backstage Garland Award for his one-man show Desperate for Magic.

As a playwright, he has won both the Ingram Fellowship and the Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Award. His play Biff and Charlie is published by Samuel French. Mother of Pearl is published by Dramatic Publishing and Desperate for Magic is published by Elderidge Publishing. Chambers latest play Twain and Shaw Do Lunch received its world premiere at the prestigious New Theatre in Miami.

Chambers is married to film and television producer Betsy Sullenger. They have a 15-year-old son, Twain.

Audiences are loving the Show named "Happy Girl", which is part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2022, hff22. Here is a [6June 2022 - Review by HARRIS MCGRADE; https://www.imdb.com/name/nm9385519/ ]

[What I liked]

As you follow along you begin to realize it’s a bit of a mystery what’s actually going on, and the reveal is poignant and satisfying!

[What I didn't like]

The story may come a bit more full-circle with a few extra hints or ‘easter eggs’ to tease the ending.

[My overall impression]

Happy Girl summarizes some of the struggles young people can go through when entering college, in a fun, joyous manner, while retaining it’s core purpose.
