About this Event
Could this BE any more fun?! This class is perfect for the beginner cookier or anyone who’s just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you’ve ever felt like making sugar cookies was more stressful than Ross yelling “WE WERE ON A BREAK!” or if you just want to laugh and have a great time with friends or family, this class is for you.
We’ll be decorating a special Friends-giving set inspired by some of the most iconic Thanksgiving moments from Friends. Think Joey with his “meat sweats,” Monica’s turkey with sunglasses, and plenty of Central Perk vibes—only this time, it’s cookies!
Everything you need is provided—no need to “pivot” anything. You’ll get 6 cookies, prepped and ready for decorating with royal icing, plus a box to take your awesome creations home (because sharing is optional, and Joey doesn’t share food).

This class is on Tuesday, November 18th 6-8pm. We'll have just enough time to decorate and ask questions along the way. Come by yourself or bring a friend - we have seating for up to 24 people! It's a blast regardless.
The class is good for ages 12 and up - but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, you can purchase an add-on kit!

FAQ
What will I be doing in the class?
Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over royal icing basics, decorating techniques, and you will decorate your very own set of cookies to take home with you that day.
Do you offer a virtual class?
Yes! We offer a variety of pre-recorded classes that you can find on Etsy. Our online classes are a different experience than our in-person classes; participants of the online classes are responsible for baking their own cookies and preparing their own icing. Learn more at
Can I purchase an additional DIY take-home kit?
Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-make the class on your own. We will bring a few extras the day of for those impulse shoppers, but there will only be a couple and not guaranteed everyone will get one if not purchased ahead! If you would like to purchase a take home kit, you can add one as you check out.
Do I need to know how to bake?
Nope! We will have all the cookies pre-made and will give you the recipe at the end of class for you to create later on your own.
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing! Everything will be provided for you. All you need to do is join in and have fun! Messy decorator? Feel free to bring your own apron.
What age is best for cookie classes?
Our classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents - come on in and have some cookie fun! Our in-person classes are great for any age, however, kiddos under 12 will need a parent taking the class as well. Every person in class = a ticket purchased. If you think your child may be too young to enjoy the in-person class, purchase an additional take-home kit!
Can just my child take the class?
We ask that all parents also attend the class with their children under 12. For children 12 and over, you can drop off your child to take the class and return to pick up in 1.5 hours. Due to limited space, we do not have room for parents to stand by and watch their children in class. So unfortunately, no - your child cannot take the class alone; a parent must also purchase a ticket and take the class as well - but we can promise you this - it's super fun for all involved!
What will I bring home?
By the end of class, you will have created a set of 6 cookies ready to dry for 24-48 hours in their box. And of course you'll have new skills, memories and fun!
Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?
You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 24 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!
Where are the classes located?
We will meet at Micky's Pub in North Liberty, IA. Class locations vary each month but they typically take place somewhere in Iowa, Washington or Johnson County.
I signed up for a class but can't make it?
We understand that life happens, so that's why we allow you to cancel up to 7 days before the class to receive a refund (less the Eventbrite fees). You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are!). If you cancel within 7 days of class, we can no longer offer a refund, but you can pick up your supplies and receive access to the online class instead.
Weather Policy:
In the event of severe weather (such as snow/ice storms, tornadoes, etc.), the class may be cancelled for safety reasons. Because all materials are prepared in advance, refunds will not be issued. Instead, registered participants will be offered a DIY cookie kit (including all cookies, icing, and tools), which can either be picked up at a later date or mailed to you. You will also receive access to a step-by-step online class so you can still enjoy the full decorating experience from home.
Add a Sugar Cookie Class Kit to your Order!
Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! Our class kits come with everything you'll use in class. The cookie shapes and icing colors will be the same as what we learned in class. Cookie kits typically include 6 cookies , 4 bags of royal icing, and sometimes sprinkles (depending if the design calls for it!).
How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store it, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies and icing keeps them fresh for up to 3 months, but if left at room temp we recommend using them within a week.
We will bring a few extra kits for impulse shoppers the day of, but make sure to purchase a kit during check out if you know for sure you want one!
Allergens: Eggs, gluten, and nuts are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and prepare the icing. Please consider your allergies before registering.
Eventbrite fees: Your ticked price includes the Eventbrite fees; however, Eventbrite does not refund its fees. If you cancel your ticket for a refund, we'll give you a refund less the Eventbrite fee - since we don't get this back either. Eventbrite keeps it regardless of whether your show up or cancel.
