About this Event
As we look forward to the upcoming weekend (11th to 13th October) of teachings with Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche, the heart son of Garchen Rinnpoche, we would like to invite you to this film about the remarkable and inspirational life of our Guru.
After fighting in a war to defend Tibet and preserve the Buddha Dharma, Garchen Rinpoche was captured and imprisoned. Garchen Rinpoche spent the next 20 years in Pr*son and labour camps in Communist China.
Since his release from Pr*son in 1979, Garchen Rinpoche has worked tirelessly to restore, preserve, and spread the teachings and blessings of the Buddha Dharma across Tibet, and later, throughout the entire world. He is now based in the USA and has centres in many countries.
This film is a rare and intimate portrait of an astonishing man.
One experiences the world of Tibetan Buddhism through his unusally inspiring and revealing life story. His journey moves and instructs us, in a uniquely universal way, to have the courage to embody pure Love, the highest potential of the human mind.
"The only cause of happiness is love."
