Join our "Fit for Fun" Tai Chi Classes for Women which aim to boost women's self-esteem, confidence, and fitness.Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact exercise that blends martial arts with meditation. Originating from ancient China, it has evolved to focus on health and rehabilitation. Often called "meditation in motion," Tai Chi involves gentle movements, postures, controlled breathing and a calm state of mind.
Research suggests Tai Chi may help with menopausal symptoms such as bone loss, mood swings and sleep issues. Additional benefits include stimulating the central nervous system, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress and gently toning muscles. Tai Chi is also known to improve balance, manage pain, relieve depression and enhance brain function.
