Join us in person in Regina, SK or virtually on Zoom!This year’s KAIROS Prairies North Annual Gathering will focus on what it means for people of faith to connect to Jubilee, which is reconciliation with God and caring for our neighbours, near and far, and creation. Speakers will discuss the biblical elements of Jubilee and delve into how these elements connect with ecological justice concerns.
Presenters:
-Joe Elkerton (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation; Indigenous Christian Fellowship) will open the day with prayer and smudging
-Pastor Josh Wallace (Mennonite Church Saskatchewan) on the biblical, theological, and spiritual dimensions of Jubilee
-Rev. Willard Metzger (Citizens for Public Justice) on the launch of a legal challenge over the Province’s coal extension plan
-Shannon Neufeldt (KAIROS Canada) on the Jubilee 2025 debt campaign, the G7 Jubilee Peoples’ Forum in June, the new KAIROS Global Partnerships program: Women Peacebuilders at the Nexus of Climate, Conflict and Gender, and more
