Sung Evening Prayer, often called "Choral Evensong", will be offered at Holy Comforter on Sunday, April 28 at 5:00pm, in a liturgy led by members of the Holy Comforter Choir and Evensong Choir. This service will serve as a "farewell" for the singers and other travelers -- a group of 80 people -- who will travel May 10-28, 2024 for a pilgrimage to Ireland and Scotland to sing in several cathedrals and parish churches in Dublin, Belfast, and Edinburgh. This service is marked by organ and choral music, scripture readings, and moments of silent and spoken prayer. The service lasts about 45 minutes, and is a beautiful and holy way to enter into the evening hours. "Lord Jesus, stay with us, for evening is at hand and the day is past..."
