Doors open at 6:30.Medford, OR — Cult-favorite acting icon Bruce Campbell (“Evil Dead,” “Bubba Ho-Tep,” “Burn Notice”) will celebrate the World Premiere of his newest feature film, “Ernie & Emma,” on February 14, 2026, at the historic Holly Theatre in Medford, OR. Presented in partnership with the Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF), the special premiere event will serve as a fundraiser benefiting AIFF, with proceeds supporting the festival’s year-round programming and mission to champion independent film in Southern Oregon.
A departure from the classic genre films that have marked Campbell’s career, the romantic comedy “Ernie & Emma” follows Ernie Tyler, a small-town pear salesman who sets off across Pear Valley, Oregon, after the passing of his beloved wife, Emma. Guided by the meticulous list of instructions she leaves behind, Ernie’s journey becomes a bittersweet and transformative road trip that challenges him to confront loss, rediscover purpose, and honor the life he shared with Emma.
“Ernie & Emma’ represents a return to truly independent filmmaking,” said Bruce Campbell, who wrote, directed, produced, and stars in the film. “I refer to it as crawling back into the womb, because this is the first time since the original ‘Evil Dead’ where I've made a movie entirely outside the studio system.”
