About this Event
The Invitation:
Join us for a one-night exploration of visual art, written art and performance art by thirty artists from across Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Hosted by Reclaiming Art Collective and in collaboration with Oldhand Coffee and The Imagination Forge, our artists will take you on a journey looking back at pivotal moments from their childhood and teenage years . From poets to painters, rappers and dancers, this artist cohort will bring you deeper into their inner worlds with an invitation to get curious about your own.
"Dear Younger Me" is an opportunity to look back on all the moments that made us who we are today, for better or worse, and to leave a connection back to our younger selves as we move forward into the future. This event is a chance for artists, and all of us, to reflect on how much we have learned and grown over the years, while also thinking back to when life was a little more full of blowing on dandelions and splashing our feet in puddles.
Program:
Doors & Gallery Open: 7:30pm
Performances Begin: 8pm
Performances End: 9:30pm
Gallery Closes: 10pm
