About this Event
Create a personal artwork that tells the story of a dear memory that is close to your heart.
Bring printed papers, poems, letters, photos, postal cards, patterns, or fabrics that are related to this memory. You will use them in the background of your artwork. You will learn to use mixed mediums, textures, paper collage, and to paint an acrylics paint still life on top of the mediums you used for the background while keeping parts of them showing to tell your visual story.
For Ages 12 and up.
Fee is $50 per person
All materials will be provided
Proceeds will be donated to a refugee relief fund.

About the Artist
Dima Kroma is a visual artist who paints to tell stories about the values that bring people together. Her art celebrates the spirit of cultural diversity. She has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Software Engineering, and due to her passion for painting she is working towards a Master of Fine Art in Visual Arts with Painting as her focus, from Jacksonville University. Kroma participated in many art exhibitions in Jacksonville, and she was featured at MOSH through a solo exhibition in 2019. She uses acrylics paint, oil paint, and mixed mediums to tell her visual stories.
Kroma is also an activist who helps women artists bring their visual voices out, a TEDx speaker, a museum educator and programs manager, and a mother of two children.
