Event Information:
Travel the journey and rocky road of a black girl, TIANA SHUNTAE ALEXANDER, struggling to overcome criticisms and obstacles, and strives to seek acceptance from those she meets along the way. After a myriad of ups and downs, she learns to Graciously Idolize herself and to Rejoice in Life (GIRL). This production is supported in part by The Black Seed, a national project funded thrust by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, in partnership with The Billie Holiday Theatre, New York, New York.
