Join St. Charles County Parks and the St. Charles City-County Library District for a screening of “Big Medicine: York Outdoors,” a compelling 35-minute film that reclaims and elevates the story of York, the only Black member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Produced by the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail and NEW Multimedia, the documentary follows a group of Black outdoor leaders as they retrace the path of the original Corps of Discovery, honoring York’s legacy and highlighting the healing, empowerment, and joy the natural world can offer. Following the screening, a local public historian will give a presentation on York’s contributions, concluding with a Q&A session. Registration is required. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
