This is the sixth lecture in the 'Beyond the Dark Clouds' lecture series - "Leo After Lockdowns: The Value of Voluntary Societies".

This lecture will be given by Dr Megan Russo, Assistant Professor of Political Science at St Thomas University, Texas, US.

A Core Fellow at the University of Houston, Texas, Megan earned her doctorate in Political Philosophy from the University of Dallas and is a scholar in Catholic social thought.

Megan aims to get students to question some of their pre-conceived ideas, lead more reflective lives, and develop more real friendships.

About the lecture series

In our second lecture series entitled ‘Beyond the Dark Clouds: Prophetic Voices from Around the World,’ we will be continuing our theme of education for hope. This year we will be focussing on how to humanise the world through the study of ethics, philosophy, technology and artificial intelligence as well as enquiring about the nature of values and mission in the contemporary higher education environment.
