In this workshop, our Master Artist Omkar Dadarkar will share thoughts and methods on bandish based improvisation. He will also share Gajananbuwa's Raga Swaroop phraseology for 'drawing a picture of the Raga'. This masterclass is for anyone with an interest in understanding 'Raga' better and learning how to improvise upon a bandish in different ways.About the Artist: Omkar Dadarkar’s khayal style is receiving growing plaudits across the world. He first learned from his parents, then from a vast range of gurus including his aunt Pta. Manik Verma, Dr. Ram Deshpande, Pt. Yashwanthbua Joshi, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pta. Girija Devi, and Shri Shrinivas Khale. A period of study as an ITC Sangeet Research Academy scholar further sharpened his control, and his performance career goes from strength to strength with a growing resumé of awards.
