Join us for the release of ASHES #2, part two of a supernatural crime comic book series. Writer JEREMIAH WOLFE and artist ARCHANGELO CRELENCIA (both local creators) will be on hand signing copies of both issues on Sunday, October 10 from 12:00pm - 3:30pm.
"Connor Kilpatrick died 20 years ago and yet he still walks the earth. He and his wife were brutally murdered by a ruthless Irish mobster and his crew. As he lay dying in a hospital bed he was visited by Death and given a choice. Live out his soon to be short life, or serve as Death’s assassin maintaining the balance of the universe by eliminating criminal threats to it. Now 20 years later Connor has become Death’s top hitman and has stumbled upon the possible whereabouts of the men who dispatched him and his beloved wife. Connor must make a choice to either objectively perform the duty he has sworn to uphold, or to exact the vengeance that he has long desired regardless of the paradox it may cause. Ashes is a supernatural, neo-noir, crime thriller that takes a gritty look at the afterlife and those who operate in the shadows of both sides."
About Jeremiah Wolfe:
Jeremiah Wolfe was born on July 20, 1981, in Enid, Oklahoma. He grew up with a love of the outdoors, movies, music, and, of course, comic books. After graduating from Enid High School in 2000, he began studying theater performance at Oklahoma State University; where he would eventually end up with a BA in Theater. While attending Oklahoma State, he and a group of friends watched a Second City tour group performance. This event prompted him to move to Chicago to study improv and sketch comedy at the Second City Theater. Eventually he was accepted into Second City’s conservatory. There he noticed his interests began to shift from acting to writing. Following his graduation from the conservatory in 2009, he helped start a sketch comedy web series called Winter & Construction in which he wrote and preformed in many sketches. Later he returned to one of his first loves, comic books. In addition to Ashes, Jeremiah has written the all ages comic book series Kid Ninja.
