Good Evening Music Lovers, My First Friday's of the month are back and in the new year 2026 it's on Jan 2nd. As usual, I'm kicking off the year with a mini concert and hosting the open mic in the Napoleon Room at Club Cafe, 209 Columbus Ave Boston, MA. 7pm- 10pm, and don't worry, it's still NO COVER!
We're ringing in the new year with the theme: '"After The Holiday Blues" because let's face it, the holiday season is over and we're all feeling a little down. But a few others like myself are secretly happy. I'll do a 45-minute show and then get this piano party started with the open mic. If you like blues music, this is the show to see, but don't worry, it's not all blues all night - phew! There are still seats left if you would like to, but hurry up! WEDNESDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR SINGERS AND DON'T FORGET TO GET THOSE SONGS AND SHEET MUSIC IN BY 3pm On New Year's Eve in your key. Please & Thank you! The theme is all about embracing the post-holiday blues, so let's sing about it. All the songs in the room will be blues songs or songs with special words that capture the feeling. The Special Words are : Blue/Blues, Sad/Sadness, Cry, Lonely, Lost, Poor, Despair, Tear/Tears, Dark/Darkness, Misery, Sex, Mood/Moody, Sorrow, Heart/Heartache, Gloom, Doubt, Mean, Alone, Trouble, Happy, Glad & Over.
If your song has one of these words, you're golden! It doesn't have to be a blues song, I've got you covered. Message me with your 2 songs, and let's have a blast. Remember, 1 fast song and 1 med tempo or slow song, and don't even think about covering a song in the Napoleon Room! We start at 7pm-10pm.
