Come to our simple rehearsal space in Malmö to get a glimpse of 5 experienced actors on stage trying out a collection of life stories on love, loss and lubricant! A mixture of drama and laughter linked by… heartbeat...
Playmate invites you to a work-in-progress, as five of our regular actors try out on stage a collection of story-telling tales of love, life, some laughter and some loss.
Each short piece is in English.
There is a common theme of – perhaps - love and relationships, as theatre – like life after all! - searches for answers.
All of the pieces are fascinating stories to us. We would love to have an audience as we try out these texts and see what response we get… to the sound of guitar strings, the clink of coffee cups and a touch of the unknown.

Earlier in the day , before the monologues, between 14:00hrs and 16:00 hrs you also get the chance to attend a professional demo workshop with a qualified Michael Checkhov Theatre Technique trainer. All are welcome - beginners & experienced performers and theatre-makers. (see separate event)

WHAT IS MALMÖ SCENFEST?
A day full of theatre, dance and performance, once a year, in Malmö. Malmö Scenfest offers the chance to see productions, open rehearsals, exhibitions and workshops. The whole programme is free of charge.
During Malmö Scenfest, on one whole day of the year, theatre members open up their organisations to the public. The programme is a show of strength and a joint effort to highlight the world of theatre and its audiences. What is unique about this day is that size does not matter. The organisations on show range from the smallest fringe theatre groups to the largest institutions, within all genres of performance for the stage /audience.
Every theatre, every performer participating, does so on a voluntary basis and within the margins of their own organisation.
