In what seems to be a new holiday tradition in the Hub City, Legacy Actors Theatre Experience is staging “A Christmas Carol in One Act” by Paul Thain from Charles Dickens and Ben Hare as a benefit for two local food banks. A Christmas Carol will benefit Christian Services and The Petal Children’s Task Force, both of which feed hundreds every Christmas.
About the show: it’s a one-night-only event. Tuesday Dec. 10th at 6pm in the Founders Hall of Parkway Heights United Methodist Church. Admission will be a donation of non-perishable food items. This version of A Christmas Carol will star almost two dozen local voices- including Festival South artistic director Mike Lopinto, actress/director Rachelle Steinhauer, several members of Legacy Actors, a handful of local children and in the lead role as Ebeneezer Scrooge, film star, singer and actor Scott “Creek” Wilson.
Last year, Legacy brought to the stage “It’s a Wonderful Life, the Radio Play” as a benefit for the Petal Arts Council and Parkway Heights Youth.
