Hundreds of nature lovers, friends, families and kids love to come! The Madison Bird and Nature Festival is a city wide celebration of Earth Week, Arbor Day, and International Bird Day hosted by Madison Parks and Nature Groups. Come any time between noon and 4pm to see Hawks and Owls up close at the ongoing Open Door Bird Sanctuary Live Raptor Show. Enjoy food carts, music, educational nature exhibits, facepainting and fun nature activities for the kids! Meet your local nature groups and find out about great nearby nature recreation, education and restoration activities. Learn how to 'Go Native' and enjoy more beautiful birds, bees, trees, and wildflowers in your yard while also helping cool our city as the climate heats up, clean our air, reduce carbon costs and runoff into our lakes, and sustain the urban nature ecosystem we share.
