A COUNTRY WESTERN
Born out of reverence for their favorite bands and the need for an outlet to express personal influence, A Country Western finds themselves in the knotty crossroads of slowcore and shoegaze in Philadelphia, PA.
Multi-instrumentalists Derek Hengemihle and Garrett Miades began making songs together in middle school, eventually playing in other bands together until forming A Country Western in 2018. Eventually hometown friend Erik Hilbert (guitar) and Paris Parker (bass) joined for live performances, who soon became involved in writing and recording.
A Country Western is coming off their latest release, a split 10” with They Are Gutting A Body of Water on Topshelf Records, and a new full length album is currently in the works.
While they polish off their new recordings, A Country Western are bringing their self-titled album AND debut EP Phenom (on Side B) to vinyl and CD for the first time ever! Together these two projects encapsulate the earliest era of the band: home recordings with digital transposition and sample chopping.

CHARLIE PASO
NC based Charlie Paso is the labor of love of Duncan McDonald and Nina Sarsozo. Spanning post rock, garage, noise, and country, their sound feels familiar, but finds new ground to cover. Through consistent regional shows and touring, the duo has adopted a boisterous live presence and are known for their energetic shows which range from euphoric, manic, harsh and sweet. Describing their first live performance post pandemic, music photographer John Guerin writes, “Hints of Pavement and Modest Mouse flutter through ‘50s pop and ‘70s psych before heading out to the ocean and riding a rolling surf back to now.” While primarily performing live for the last 7 years, Charlie Paso are currently working diligently on their second record to follow up their 2023 catharsis, "What do I have to look forward for".

LITTLE CHAIR
Little chair is a Durham band started in college that plays indie pop and sometimes punk, drawing inspiration from 60s girl groups, riot grrl, and twee influences. They didn’t really know how to play their instruments when they started, but much progress has been made along the way. They have a lot of fun playing shows with friends, making CDs and drawing little guys to put on their covers. Everyone sorta plays in little chair and switches around on instruments depending on who’s available.
