🎭 We at EnActe are thrilled to announce the post-pandemic re-launch of EnActe Aspire! 🎭Join us as we unveil an invigorated vision under our new Associate Artistic Director, Roshni Datta. EnActe Aspire connects our Bay Area community to their roots with carefully curated South Asian classics and the best of contemporary writing from South Asia. It also serves as a platform for aspiring actors and theatremakers.
Audiences still fondly remember past Aspire productions such as "Kingdom of Cards," "A Widow of No Importance," and "The Waiting Room."
Our re-launch opens with the classic socio-political satire "Andhon ka Haathi" in Hindi, written by the Padma Shri Award-winning playwright Sharad Joshi and co-directed by Aditya Kulkarni & Roshni Datta. In a metaphor for the omnipresent irony of our current socio-political environment, four blind men and a womn attempt to understand what the elephant in the room is.
