Randy is a native of Fort Wayne, IN. He graduated from AU in 1993, a four-year starter on the Ravens' baseball team, where he earned academic All-America honors as a first baseman and pitcher. He is in his 32nd year with the Indianapolis Indians. He was named president by the Indians Board of Directors in November 2016 and ws appointed CEO in April 2024. He was named as MLBs Executive of the Year in 2024, marking his second such award (also: International League in 2026) and the fourth Executive of the Year Award for the Indians' front office staff since joining the IL in 1998. In 2015, Lewandowski was inducted into the Bishop Dwenger High School Hall of Fame and three years later, he was inducted into the Northeast Indiana Baseball Association Hall of Fame.
