Join us at Hershey Public Library for an informative, supportive and empowering seminar led by Dr. Rollin M. Wright, MPH, MS. Dr. Wright is an Associate of Professor of Medicine at the Penn State University College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and a dementia care expert with Age Friendly Care PA.
During this seminar you will learn what constitutes as a dementia diagnosis, 2 skills to make it easier to work with people with dementia, and tips on how to plan for the future of your loved one living with dementia after a diagnosis has been made.
About Dr. Wright
Dr. Wright is an Associate Professor of Medicine with Penn State Health-Hershey Medical Center’s Division of Geriatric Medicine. She has many years of experience caring for people with dementia across the spectrum of care, from outpatient, to inpatient, to long-term care dementia support communities. She sees patients at the Cocoa Internal Medicine Memory Clinic here in Hershey, and she is currently working with the Age- and Dementia-Friendly Care, PA Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (funded by the Healthcare Resources and Services Administration) based at the Penn State University College of Nursing. Her role is to develop training programs to help primary care providers in PA deliver high quality, comprehensive dementia care. Areas of academic and clinical interest include geriatric education curriculum development and research, post-acute and long-term care, interprofessional education, and teaching students, residents, and geriatric fellows how to communicate with and care for people and families living with dementia.
