About this Event
In these dark political times, women need each other more than ever. The good news is, we increase our capacity for resilience together in Community.
You are invited to experience a sanctuary of open-hearted connection with other women. Together we will feel safe, seen, heard and know that we “have each other’s backs.” We are undoubtedly stronger together.
Join Kamakshi Hart and Kirsten Caplan as they lead an embodied and empowered process: The Roadmap to Resilience. Come as you are, nothing required, and leave inspired and renewed.
Due to the nature of our program, this is an intimate event at a private home. Ticket and eventbrite fee total $65. Purchasing tickets early helps programming and is rewarded with $10 off, if you purchase before April 20.Use code ILOVEIT at checkout.
Our afternoon will include:
- Building and strengthening our equilibrium, inner peace and resilience with new skills, practices and tools.
- Guided processes in finding your unique voice with Kamakshi and getting a creative reboot with Kirsten.
- Somatic exercises to welcome the range of emotion in these current times and transform pain into purpose, grief into hope-filled joy.
- Bridge-building into our next steps, new vision and a plan for staying supported and connected.
- Leave knowing that you are not alone and you are an essential, empowered member of The Resilient Woman Collective.
We believe in the power of self-reflection, experiential learning, and fostering a safe, healing space where all are welcome. Come by yourself or with a friend and experience the unique tools that can become your roadmap to resilience with an ongoing collective of women cheering you on.
Why Joyful Resilience in Community?
Sometimes it seems counterintuitive to celebrate in troubling times. However, much can be learned from activists of the past. Black civil rights leaders called on Joyful Resistance- if you are joyful, you are not oppressed. Protest songs and gospel have been integral to black liberation. LGBTQIA activists said in the height of the AIDS epidemic, "we protest in the morning, march in the afternoon, and dance all night. The dancing was critical to remind ourselves what we were fighting for." Joyful coming together asserts our dignity. When women are delighted, we are reminded of our worth and can envision the world we want to create for the future. We are what we are looking for!
Kamakshi and Kirsten Team Up
Kamakshi, a Transformational Coach and Kirsten, a Creative Coach decided to team up. Together they provide a safe, transformative space that invites women to learn, grow and lean on each other - and have light-hearted fun in the process! As women we often give so much to our families, communities and coworkers, we may feel depleted. Choosing to take time out to reset, restore and rejuvenate isn't a "nice-to" in these times, it's a "must-do". We are here because we need it too :-) and that is also why We Are Here For You!
Come join us... And Still We Rise!
And Still We Rise - title inspired by the poem, Still I Rise by Maya Angelou
