Lullaby of the Rivers is pleased to present Women Who Rule, an Ancient City Limits concert in the Limelight Theatre. Bob Patterson has lined up three extraordinarily gifted performers - Jeanie Fitchen, Katherine Archer and Jolie, each with a superlative voice and superb musical ability.
Jeanie Fitchen is an award-winning songwriter, storyteller and recording artist who earned a 1999 Grammy nomination for her CD Roads in the category of Best New Folk Album. Jeanie received a Florida Folk Heritage Award in 2001 for her long-standing contributions to the state's folk cultural resources. In 2010, Jeanie was honored with The Fellow Man and Mother Earth Award by The Stetson Kennedy Foundation. Jeanie was inducted into the 2016 Florida Folk Festival’s Legends and Legacy Hall of Fame in recognition of her legacy of performances as a Florida singer-songwriter and for her contributions to the Florida Folk Festival,
Katherine Archer possesses one of the sweetest voices in Florida and is equally at home on guitar, mandolin and ukulele. Katherine's original songs range from reflections of Wild Florida to energetic, powerful statements about life and love to wry and humorous observations. She's also an author. "Snorkel McCorkle and the Lost Flipper", a book with music, addresses our imperiled Florida water paradise and critters, seen through the eyes of a 10 year old eco-heroine. A devoted environmentalist, Katherine helps produce Lullaby of the Rivers festivals and concerts as a board member and performer.
Jolie is an acclaimed independent singer-songwriter renowned for her dynamic vocal range and emotive, intimate performances. She was voted Saint Augustine’s "Best Female Vocalist" and "Best Musician" in both 2019 and 2020. Her unique style often draws comparisons to celebrated artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Sara Bareilles, and Birdy. In 2019, Jolie debuted her five-track EP, I Can Only Be Me, to a sold-out audience at its official release concert, followed by the heartfelt single 365 Days. Most recently, she released singles Forfeit, The Ghost of Us, and Belong with poignant melodies and introspective lyrics.
Ancient City Limits is a ticketed event presented in the intimate surroundings of the Limelight's Black Box. Jorge Rivera, producer of St. Augustine Tonight, will host the event and interview the guest performers. Doors open at 2pm. Tickets for Ancient City Limits are $25 available through the Limelight Theatre Box Office https://limelight.ludus.com/200511858
