About this Event
, founded in 1907 by pianist Rafael Joseffy, has long championed musical excellence and camaraderie among artists. With a legacy that includes members like Rachmaninoff, Heifetz, and Kreisler, the Club continues to support tradition and innovation through concerts, residencies, and awards.
In this spirit, The Bohemians proudly present a live performance by Adam W. Sadberry and Zhu Wang. This program explores music’s power to bridge nature, history, and justice. Katherine Hoover’s Winter Spirits evokes nature’s spirituality, while Bach’s Partita in A minor roots us in classical tradition. William Grant Still’s Mother and Child honors the nurturing of life, and Perkinson’s Amazing Grace reminds us of shared humanity. The evening culminates in the world premiere of Tyler Taylor’s Flute Concerto: Waves of Voices, a tribute to civil rights journalist L. Alex Wilson, Sadberry’s grandfather.
