About this Event
Maxica Colectivo is a group of Wixarika and contemporary artists sharing creations inspired by nature. Our work seeks to honor the Earth the way our ancestors have, and to share the medicinal art that is part of our culture.
The practice of beading with sacred geometry is a way of living an active and transformative meditation, as it establishes a special link between creativity and spirituality. When you work with these geometries and immerse yourself in this practice, you are also working towards a state of inner peace. Beading sacred geometries is not merely a craft but a transformative practice that nourishes the soul, strengthen spiritual connections, and honors ancient wisdom.
Luz and Adriana are a mother daughter team seeking to pass on the sacred tradition of beadwork for others to enjoy. Above all, their goal is to foster sense of community and belonging by providing an opportunity for individuals to come together, share knowledge, and celebrate cultural traditions that have been passed down through generations.
