About this Event

Come on down to Staffordshire St for a live musical happening dabbling in the surreal.

Anatomy Orchestra forms part of Full to Bursting’s public programme. The immersive exhibition indulges in the bizarre and unsettling.

Settle into the night as group of professional jazz musicians perform a direct, improvised piece of music inspired by artist and curator Haydn Albrow’s dream language.

Albrow will create a graphic score based on recordings from her sleep/wake brain activity, which, combined with an alphabet she created, will be converted into musical scores. Watch as the musicians interpret her dreams, creating a completely unique live sound experience.

Interlacing music and art, this performance will swaddle the audience in a dream-like soundscape.

Performers:

Andrew Lisle is a London based drummer working in the field of jazz and improvised music. He performs and records with the likes of Alex Ward, Kit Downes, John Edwards, Colin Webster, Rodrigo Amado, John Dikeman, and Dirk Serries - among others.

Further line up to be announced.

Doors Open at 7pm

Performances: 7.30pm

Tickets: £5/4 concession. If you are financially able, please consider the 'pay it forward' option. This helps keep the event accessible to all, while supporting the artists with costs.

is an independent project space in Peckham, South East London. The venue facilitates arts and cultural events and provides affordable studios for artists, makers and designers.

The venue was recently established as an art gallery, before then it was for many years a community centre and originally it was built as a Methodist Hall.

Staffordshire St will build on the established record of these histories, opening up again to the neighbourhood and developing a welcoming interdisciplinary arts space. More information on upcoming events at : [email protected] or @staffordshirest
