Sun Salutations form the foundation of many movement-based yoga styles, serving to warm up your body and clear your mind. This sequence of postures creates a moving meditation or flow state, where the synergy of strong poses and deep breathing fosters a balance of effort and ease that carries through the entire practice.Through a combination of movement and discussion you will have the opportunity to dedicate attention towards mastering the alignment principles essential for key poses like Chaturanga (yoga push-up) and Upward Facing Dog, two postures we commonly get questions about. You will also learn how to transition smoothly between the front and back of the mat, whether stepping or jumping. By better understanding these mechanics and alignment principles, you’ll enhance your practice, bringing mindfulness and joy to each movement and deepening your connection with your breath and body.
