Better 'life' through understanding
Make the jump from, “that doesn’t look right,” to “ I know why that doesn’t look right.” A disjointed shoulder, a crooked leg, weight coming from the wrong foot can often make a beautiful drawing look off. Often we think we draw what we see but without an understanding of what we’re seeing, drawing the figure can be challenging.
Explore for the first time or revisit the basic proportions and bony markers of the human body. Expect to draw from printed references in the morning and put learning into practice in the afternoon by observing and drawing experienced life model, Justin.
Whether you are a complete beginner or developer this class is designed to help you feel confident about creating realistic and artistic figures from a place of basic knowledge and understanding while having a bit of fun in a relaxed environment.
All materials are supplied (or feel free to bring your own) all you need to bring is your lunch and an apron. Classes are kept small to ensure everyone gets some individual attention.
Copious refreshments supplied. Over 18s only.
