About this Event
Currently, Anathi is the lead vocalist for the Little Giants Big band as well as the Lady Day Big band. The Little Giants big band has performed at the Standard Bank National Youth Jazz festival in Grahamstown, the Tittiesbaai Jazz on the Rocks as well as Jazzathon – among many other huge events in and around Cape Town.
2018/19 Anathi was selected as one of the soloists for the Artscape Youth Jazz festival as well as the lead vocalist for the EduJazz big band performing annually at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. The 2019 Grahamstown festival saw Anathi being selected as the vocalist for the Standard Bank National Youth Band under the direction of Pianist, composer, and arranger Afrika Mkhize, performing at the 2019 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, alongside some of the greatest musicians of our time including Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at the Lincoln Center Orchestra
