*BREAKING: Anathema White Garment Documentary To Premiere In Nigeria Nov 15*The World Premiere of "Anathema: A White Garment Experience" which is a documentary film about the white garment church is set to take place in Nigeria.
Produced by Cheser Media Incorporation, the documentary will be premiered at this year’s Anathema White Garment Experience Concert scheduled to hold on Friday, November 15, at Solution Arena in the Shomolu area of Lagos.
The diaspora edition of the premiere and the maiden concert were held on November 11, 2022, at the Irving Arts Center in Texas, United States of America.
The concert, also held in November 2023, was headlined by renowned Seraph gospel artistes, the Anathema Music Group.
The Executive Producer of the documentary who also doubles as the convener of the concert, Pastor Sam Ogunyooye, said this year’s gathering would be an all-night programme which would also be open to all members of the Cherubim and Seraphim church.
He said, “We have concluded plans to host this year’s edition of Anathema In Concert at Solution Arena come Friday, November 15. Also, the much-awaited Nigerian Premiere of the Anathema Documentary will be held during the concert. We have been working on this since we had the first one in the US. We consider this period the right time and it promises to be revealing and enlightening.
“The gathering will be viewing a three-in-one programme this year. This includes the Anathema Documentary showing, the music concert and the third aspect which will be revealed during the programme. There will also be musical renditions by the Anathema group, Anathema mass choir, Seraph and Celestial gospel artistes and ministrations by some anointed men and women of God.”
Pastor Ogunyooye added that this year’s event will commence with a red carpet by 7 pm and will also be attended by some personalities from the Nollywood circle.
Anathema started as a talk show, which sought to correct the deliberate misrepresentation of the church and glaring fallacies about its doctrines.
The talk show later inspired the documentary which featured Seraphs who spoke about the church enough to disabuse the minds of naysayers. It also featured Nollywood actors and music producers whose craft had been used to perpetuate the act of damaging the image of the church.
This documentary film from the stable of Cheser Media Inc. sets out to explore the church, its inception and its journey so far.
This project also documents the growth and challenges of the Aladura churches by exploring contributions from members and non-members who share their personal experiences.
Its first soundtrack, titled: “Egbe Kerubu tiye” was released in June 2022, while it features Seraph gospel acts, Dare Fashola; Israel Classic; ID Olohun Iyo and ID Tones.
The docudrama which was shot both in Nigeria and the US, featured notable members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, as well as the Celestial Church of Christ.
It also featured renowned personalities in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The Executive producer, Pastor Samuel Ogunyooye, said the project is a complement to various efforts by passionate adherents to tell the story of the church.
