As the musical ANASTASIA begins, Russia is on the verge of revolution. Time jumps from 1907 to 1927, and Anastasia's family, the imperial Romanovs, fall victim to the tide of history. When the Dowager Empress receives the news that they have been put to death, she believes she has lost her entire family. Inspired by the beloved animated film, ANASTASIA: The Musical transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman Anya, sets out to discover the mystery of her forgotten past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer who is determined to determine her true identity & silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con-men and a lovable ex-aristocrats, D'Mitry & Vlad who are only at first interested in claiming the reward. Together, the three embark on an epic adventure to help Anya discover the truth of her identity & her past. In doing so, they all just may find she truly is more then anyone thought. As her future and theirs may hold more than riches. They may finally find home, family and even love.
