Ananse Ntontan : Matière d’héritage - Threads of Legacy
(EN)Join us for a captivating 2 days-event at ZIBI - 25 Rue Jos-Montferrand on October 2 &3 , 2025 from 5:00 to 10:30 PM (Eastern Time).
This collective exhibition highlights the value of inherited heritage, whether cultural, spiritual, familial, or geographical.
Some legacies are proudly carried forward, while others are more fragile or forgotten. Through the works on display, the artists question what they have received, what they are reinventing, and how these legacies continue to live on and transform through their art.
In a world in constant flux, this exhibition reminds us that we have all inherited something: a language, a gesture, a memory, a way of acting or believing.

(FR) Cette exposition collective présente la valeur de l’héritage reçu, qu’il soit culturel, spirituel, familial ou géographique.
Certains héritages se portent fièrement, d’autres sont plus fragiles ou oubliés. À travers les œuvres exposées, les artistes s’interrogent sur ce qu’ils ont reçu, ce qu’ils réinventent et la manière dont ces héritages continuent de vivre et de se transformer à travers leur art.
Dans un monde en constante transformation, cette exposition nous rappelle que nous avons tous hérité de quelque chose : une langue, un geste, un souvenir, une manière d’agir ou de croire.
