Experience a beautiful yoga masterclass on Anahata. Entry by koha (donation). Mair Park, Whangārei on Saturday 20 December, 10-11:45am. This is outside under trees for shade by the carpark, so is weather permitting.Xmas is a time of caring and compassion so an Anahata chakra (the heart centre) focus is very fitting for this time.
Summer Solstice - the longest day - is less than 2 days after our masterclass on Monday 22 Dec 2025 at 4:02 am (Southern Hemisphere, New Zealand Time). This is often utilized for goal setting and new beginnings, which should naturally be ‘heart-felt’ and sincere as well.
We will practice asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices) and yoga nidra (deep relaxation) with this in mind. Beginners to experienced all welcome.
Bring yoga mat and water bottle.
If you want to stay for a picnic lunch at 11:45, bring something vegetarian to share - attending the lunch is totally optional.
