This relaxing and restorative session will introduce participants to the power of Shamanic Healing practice and the power of sound healing.
Shamanic healing is a type of healing which aims to restore balance and harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. Shamans, or spiritual healers, believe that many ailments - whether physical, emotional, or spiritual - are caused by imbalances within our energy fields or disconnections from our true selves and the natural world around us. Shamonic healing therefore aims to rebalance these imbalances using a range of different practices including drumming and chanting.
Then, the beat of a drum will be intro-duced to introduced participants to con-trolled breathing practice, the combina-tion of breathing in time with the drum known to help bring awareness to the present moment and back into the body- as opposed to elsewhere on thinking about worries or troubles from the past or in the future.
Participants , whilst seated, will then re-ceive a full seated shamanic sound cleanse. A practice where, whilst sitting relaxed, participants will take in different sounds such as the sounds of a rattle, rainshaker, drum & chimes, known to induce feelings of relaxation and bliss. To end, Detzi may also facilitate a chanting practice also known to focus the mind away from over thinking and to again, bring the focus completely back into the body.
This activity is accessible to any adult with prior or no prior experience and is accessible for people with mobility challenges.
